How OASIS collects, uses and protects personal information - from website visits and enquiries to the client projects we build and support.

Last updated: 1 October 2026

This policy explains how OASIS collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit oasis.ind.in, use our mobile app, contact us, or work with us on a software project. We are a software development company registered in Punjab, India, working with clients in India, the UK, the European Union, the USA, Malaysia and elsewhere.

If you have any question about this policy, email info@oasis.ind.in.

1. Who we are

OASIS ("OASIS", "we", "us", "our") operates the website oasis.ind.in and the OASIS mobile app, and provides custom software development, Enterprise Data Management platforms, CRM and lead management systems, B2B portals and related services.

For website enquiries and marketing we are the data controller. When we build or support a system for a client, and that system holds the client's own data, the client is the controller and we act as a processor under a written agreement.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, company name, country and whatever you write in an enquiry form, email, WhatsApp message or call with us.

Project information. Documents, specifications, sample data, credentials and access you share with us so we can scope, build, migrate or support a system.

Information collected automatically. IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and approximate location derived from IP. This comes from our server logs and from the analytics tools listed below.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us, special category data such as health, biometric or financial account details through the website forms.

3. How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal or quote.
  • To deliver, host, maintain and support the software we build for you.
  • To send project updates, invoices and service messages.
  • To keep the website secure, diagnose faults and prevent abuse.
  • To understand which pages and content are useful, in aggregate.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

4. Legal bases (UK and EU visitors)

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on: legitimate interests for replying to business enquiries, securing the site and basic analytics; performance of a contract for delivering and supporting a project; consent for optional cookies and any marketing email, which you can withdraw at any time; and legal obligation for records we are required to keep.

5. Cookies and analytics

The site sets a small number of cookies. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working and are always on. With your consent we also use:

  • Google Analytics 4 - aggregate traffic and page statistics.
  • Microsoft Clarity - anonymised session and heatmap data showing how pages are used.
  • Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools - search performance data. These do not set cookies on your browser.

You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect how the site works.

6. Enquiry forms

Form submissions are stored in our admin system and emailed to us. We keep them so we can follow up and so we have a record of what was agreed. If you would like an enquiry deleted, email us and we will remove it.

7. Sharing your information

We share personal information only with:

  • Hosting and email providers that run our website, admin system and mail.
  • Analytics providers listed above.
  • Payment and accounting providers, for invoicing.
  • Our own staff and contractors, bound by confidentiality, on a need-to-know basis.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

8. International transfers

Our team and servers are in India, so information you send us is processed there. India does not have an EU adequacy decision. Where we process personal data on behalf of a UK or EU client, we sign a data processing agreement incorporating the appropriate Standard Contractual Clauses (or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum) and carry out a transfer impact assessment on request.

9. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months.
  • Client project records, contracts and invoices: as long as the relationship lasts, then for the period required by tax and company law.
  • Server and security logs: up to 12 months.
  • Analytics data: per the provider's retention setting, currently 14 months for Google Analytics.

10. Security

We use HTTPS across the site, role-based access to our admin systems, password policies, restricted database access and regular backups. Access to client systems and credentials is limited to the people working on that project. No system is perfectly secure, but we take these obligations seriously and will tell affected clients promptly if a breach affects their data.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to processing, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent. Email info@oasis.ind.in and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your national supervisory authority.

12. Our mobile app

The OASIS app shows the same content as this website and, where enabled, sends push notifications. Push notifications require a device token, which we use only to deliver notifications and which you can switch off in your device settings. The app does not collect contacts, photos or location.

13. Children

Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Other websites

This site links to client websites, social profiles and third-party tools. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.

15. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version, and important changes will be highlighted on this page.
